Veterans Day

"The Military Family"

This day I shall always remember
It is the 11th day of November
All should feel a sense of obligation
To all those Veterans who secure our Nation
And mark the day for celebration
for many future generations

My father was born on this day
His life spent defending freedoms for others who may
Choose to fight or just stay
When their country's honor is at stake
Those who decide with words they'll take
Are sworn from a solemn oath
For you and I both
To fight a war in a foreign land
Or on a distant shore
To protect America we adore
That is what it means to part of History
The Few, the Proud, the Military Family
